The recent passing of Alan "Phred" Rainey was a big blow for anyone who was part of the Blacksburg, VA music/arts scene in the 80s/early 90s. First with Industrial Soldier, then with his alter ego Joe the Fireman, Phred made some of the smartest, hippest, real-est music going, and it's stood the test of time. We were honored to share a stage with him more than a few times (as well as many beers and many laughs), and we're still trying make music that will honor the standard he set. In that spirit, we offer this version of an oldie but a goodie. Phred, we got excitement at your feet.
